You are a 21st-century girl with sunlight in your eyes and a world already waiting for your name.
You do not know yet how loud this century can be. How it asks girls to hurry, to shine on command, and to become impressive before they become whole.
But I know.
And so I stand here beside you, not to script or dictate your life, but to protect your becoming in the best way I can as your mother.
You are strong and bold already, not because you seek attention, but because confidence is beautifully woven into who you are. So carry it gently, use it gently, and never apologize for it.
You do not perform for belonging, and you do not shrink yourself to make others comfortable.
And somehow, in the middle of all these beginnings, you still wake up and say, “Today was a beautiful day,” as if beauty is something you naturally carry instead of something you must search for.
I pray you never lose that.
My tender girl.
My strong girl.
My 21st-century girl.
Before I ever held you in my arms, God already knew your life. He knew your laughter, your gifts, your voice, your tenderness, and every part of your becoming. And because your life rests in His hands, I do not have to force your future into existence. I can simply be present enough to witness it unfold.
So I pray that this century never harden you, access never distract you, knowledge deepen you without ever making you doubt your worth.
Keep growing self-aware without growing self-conscious.Be visible without ever feeling consumed by the world around you.
Congratulations, my precious baby girl. The world of possibilities will continue to unfold before you by the grace and will of God. Amen
