Majestic, you stand there,
your branches facing the heavens.
Beautiful leaves rich in color
you show no signs of age but strength.
How old might you be, I wonder?
How many families have you quietly watched over?
Did children once rest in your shade,
or whisper secrets beneath your roots?
Have your leaves trembled at laughter,
or carried prayers up to God?
The wind moves through you gently,
as if heaven breathes upon your soul.
Our days are full of beauty,
because you show us His glory
painted in green, renewed in light,
a hymn rising from your every limb.
And as I stand before your splendor,
my heart bows in quiet praise
not to you, O tree,
but to the One who made you strong.

One of the many things I am surrounded by that reminds me of God’s grace and love upon my soul. #glorybetoGod
